1) What is the price for your service?
US $24.95 for our confidential service.
Our service includes collecting details on your situation through an online form, asking appropriate clarifying questions, and then prescribing a suggested solution through the convenience of email.
There is no generally accepted method for evaluating consulting services. But you might consider the possibility of a higher raise at your end of year performance review. Or the potential benefits that might centre on the enhancement to job security from repairing a negative relationship. Or a reduction in the probability of an interruption in your income.
In addition, the cost of negative workplace relationships is often the potential of forgone opportunities in the future. If you are able to resolve workplace issues more effectively the network of people who hold you in high regard will grow and so will the number of job opportunities. Someone wiser than I once said 'we typically undervalue the importance of people we know in the workplace'. Having a positive relationship with a person over the years will turn out to be very valuable. Finally, there will be value in restoring harmony to your workplace life in terms of increased job satisfaction and performance. Investing in your career could be one of the best investments you could make.
3) Why don’t I just buy a general management book to solve my issue?
Personalised advice is superior to reading a general book. In fact reading a general book and trying to apply its advice to your situation could be counterproductive as the advice could be inappropriate for your circumstance. A general advice book simply won't offer advice that is tailored to your situation.
4) What if I have multiple workplace relationships that need to be corrected right now?
If you have multiple questions it is likely that there is a common thread through them. We will take this as one case provided that you include all of the relationship problems that need to be addressed in your initial question. If you mention other relationships that need to be addressed part way through our communications then we would request that you open up a new case. However you may find that you need to mention new people and past events as context and you are encouraged to provide context and clarification at any stage in the communication.
5) What if it is not my fault and it is the other person that needs to change?
That is ok - sometimes you don’t need to change. But you may need to communicate something to that individual to encourage them to change. There is often an action you can take to help your circumstance. But always remember that willingness to change at your end and working towards a compromise solution may be of assistance.
6) Do you use MBTI profiling or other systems to learn about the individuals in the circumstance?
No. We are more interested in the circumstances and the environmental variables surrounding the circumstance. For example, is your manager a new manager? Have they had direct reports before? All of these questions will guide us further than knowing what MBTI (Myers Briggs) profile they are. Also profiling is subjective and the labels you give to people might be incorrect and could lead us astray.
7) How does the money back guarantee work?
We would ask that upon receipt of our advice that you provide immediate feedback if we have not fully addressed an issue to give us the opportunity to adjust our recommendations. Your satisfaction is important to us. If you judge the final advice to be inappropriate, simply email service@managing-up.com and ask for your money back.
8) Why do you use email to communicate?
Our market research showed that this is what people prefer. It also allows us to keep good records of the correspondence.
